What is a modality?

Modality is the term that refers to the mode or way a therapy is delivered and experienced. A therapeutic modality refers to the model used by the therapist to assist the client.

Do you have EFTPOS?

Yes, EFTPOS is available. Each session is paid for at the end of the session unless prior arrangements have been made.

Is counselling covered by private health?

Vicki is covered currently is a registered provider with:

What is corporate or business counselling?

Most businesses refer to this as Corporate Consulting. Services offered may include conflict resolution, mediation, training, assisting with change, managing of staff, management training just to name a few services offered.

What is counselling?

Counselling is the process of using different therapeutic modalities to allow an individual, couple, group or business to resolve a particular problem or presenting issue. Counselling is usually short-term.

Who can get help from a counsellor?

Counselling is available to anyone or any entity.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes counselling is a confidential service. Registered counsellors are governed by, and adhere to a strict Code of Ethics. Confidentiality is kept at all times except when someone may be serious risk or as required by law.

Is supervision important for counselling students?

Why undertake supervision?

There are many reasons to undertake supervision. The obvious one is to meet your supervision requirements for registration with governing bodies. However, supervision is a very powerful and empowering part of your practice and work as a counsellor. Here are four areas that regular supervision assists you, the counsellor, in providing your client with a balanced and positive experience within the therapeutic relationship.

  1. Feedback and guidance with cases you may require an objective view on.
  2. Training and development of your therapeutic skills and discussions around new theories and practices in the counselling world.
  3. Administration of your counselling business.
  4. Your own personal development / assistance in resolving personal issues and avoiding burnout.

How much do your workshops cost

Each workshop and training session is different in content and duration as such the cost is different.

How much input do I have in designing a workshop or training for my business?

You can have as much or as little involvement in the design of the training and workshop that is specifically designed for you and your business.
